I want to remember who he was. He was a low-maintenance guy who needed very little to be happy. He loved his wife, his kids, and his grandkids. He wanted a cold beer when he came in from the field. He liked to have a nap after lunch. His favorite snack was potato chips. He only cursed when he was dealing with a stubborn cow.
He was funny.......
He was handsome......
He was a devoted Husband....
He was a proud Father....
He was a gentle, patient Grandpa....
He was an incredibly hard worker....
He loved to eat. And he loved my son.

I love you, Dad, and I miss you. Happy 84th...wherever you are.
Such lovely pictures, Chris, and I'm sure very lovely memories for you. Thinking of you today!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great man and a great tribute to him. I too am thinking of you today!
ReplyDeleteOh how beautiful. The pictures are so wonderful, the captions even better. And then I hit the last one. It could be MY father and MY son in MY picture. I have one almost EXACTLY the same. And your son looks like a twin of my boy when he was that age. And my father died of cancer. How moving...
ReplyDeleteCHRIS,, this is perfect, thankyou so much for doing this. Love you
ReplyDeleteBrought tears to my eyes, Chris. Your opening description could have been of my dad. I hate to think of the day when he will no longer be here. Thinking of you!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. Aren't we blessd with such wonderful people in our lives? Thanks for sharing!
